Seattle Family Session - at home.

There is something sacred about the early days of welcoming a new life—a quiet, unspoken magic that fills the air and lingers in the smallest details. Mandy and Zach invited me into their Seattle home to capture these fleeting moments with their newborn, Luka. Their session was a blend of film and digital photography, a mix of textures that perfectly mirrored the warmth and authenticity of their connection. From the soft glow of the winter light streaming through their windows to the gentle way Mandy cradled Luka, each moment felt intimate and timeless—a story unfolding in its purest form.

We began indoors, where their living room had transformed into a sanctuary of new beginnings. Mandy’s tender kiss on Luka’s forehead, Zach’s steady presence beside her, and the way they instinctively moved together as a family—it was all unscripted, yet so full of meaning. Shooting on film allowed us to embrace the imperfections, the grain and texture adding a layer of nostalgia to their story. These photographs aren’t just portraits; they’re keepsakes of a season that moves far too quickly.

As the session unfolded, we stepped outside to capture the rhythm of their everyday life—a walk down their quiet neighborhood street, Luka snug in their arms. There was a beautiful simplicity in these moments: the crisp Seattle air framing their laughter, the love that was palpable in every glance. These are the kinds of images I live for—not just snapshots, but an honest telling of who they are together. A new family, finding their way, with a love that already feels like home.
